Unvergessliche Coyuca Lagune: Baby-Schildkröten & Dschungel-Safari

JoseMario was wonderful. Very sweet, kind man. I booked the Coyuca Lagoon and baby turtle release. We didn't go to the Coyuca Lagoon, but to a different one (which was supposed to be prettier/nicer), I don't care because I know no different. After visiting the turtle rescue, we took a very long drive to an Afro Village and then a small boat ride up the river (lagoon) and then to lunch, which was a chicken kabob. Good, but not worth $170. Other than the turtle release, I was rather bored. I brought the wrong denominations with me, so I had to pay JoseMarios tip through PayPal. Hopefully, he got it...

I felt super safe with Mario and Arturo! They’re very knowledge, down to earth. I loved the tour through the city and the learning a little about Acapulco history and day to day life. I had a lot of fun on the boat and the lunch was great.

We met Malu for our cliff diving experience and decided to join the lagoon tour because she was so awesome! The tour offered a trip to another part of the city we wouldn’t have visited otherwise, amazing boat ride too. We highly recommend!!

Auturo was our tour guide and he spoke English very well. We enjoyed the lagoon boat ride and the lunch.

The turtle release of course was our favorite excursion on this trip! Jesus and Jose Mario were GREAT guides. It was a real pleasure to meet Carlos and see his efforts for saving turtles. My tour guide Jose Mario was very polite and friendly. The best tour guide, I have met in Mexico. The Coyuca lagoon itself was not that beautyful I expected. Baby turtle release was wonderful experience. I got to know so much about them and lots of great emotion, looking at the little baby turtle to "tun" towards water. But I was mot happy, that my tour guide took me to see the house, where Tarzan (Johnny Weissmüller) lived. It was not in the tour description. He just asked, if I wanted to see, as we were passing by. We managed to actually get to the house and look inside through the windows. Also Jose Mario told me a lot about Pozole, which is a popular food on Thursdays. I am grateful for all the good hints he gave me during the tour.

We had a fantastic day on this tour with Rudy. Rudy was a great and knowledgeable guide. The highlight was the baby turtle release and the amazing lunch (see photos). Would highly recommend!
